Newton Hall Allotments prides itself on its inclusivity, however owing to the allotments being on a significant slope we find it difficult to attract people who would struggle to walk up and down the steep paths.
It is for this reason that we would like to build a plot with wide paths and tall raised beds for groups to tend.
This will require a significant amount of work in making sure the appropriate site is accessible, that the spaces between the beds are sufficient to move a wheelchair around and that adequate toilet and handwashing facilities are created.
