Helping the allotment committee is a great way of gaining new skills and experiences, and some of the roles we have can be added to your CV as the skills involved are highly sought after by employers.

All main committee members and associated committee members give their time freely and voluntarily. The work they do is invaluable to the success of the allotments, and helps to maintain our standing with Durham County Council as a very well run site.

Currently, we are seeking people to carry out the following roles on a part time volunteer basis. You must be willing to use modern communication methods, including email, text messaging, and Microsoft Teams, but no experience is necessary of these or of the work involved and coaching / training will be given where needed.

You don’t need to be a member of the association to carry out these roles, so if you know of friends of family that might be interested in volunteering and gaining some valuable experience please forward this web page.
