Newton Hall Allotments is set in a 3 acre site on a hill in North Durham, close to the city centre.
Our site is owned by Durham County Council but is managed by a volunteer committee who oversee the day-to-day running of the site.
We have a few volunteers that help to maintain the site with regular jobs such as grass cutting, hedge maintenance and repairs to the shed, container and gates.
Like most allotment sites our gates are very often locked because we occasionally are targeted by thieves and vandals, and not from a desire to keep individuals who are keen to take on an allotment out.
If you have a query, please email it to committee@newtonhallallotments.co.uk and we will endeavour to respond within a day or so.
